Clomid in bodybuilding

Reception of steroids promotes a fast set of muscle mass. However, everything has to be paid for: after the end of the course, athletes must make great efforts to restore their body. A particularly acute problem is the decrease in the intensity of testosterone production. In this case, the so-called anti-estroenes come to the rescue, the most effective of which is clomid.
Antiestrogens are widely used by athletes who use androgenic anabolic steroids to increase training efficiency. The use of antiestrogens is difficult to overestimate, because after the course of steroids, the endocrine glands decrease the production of testosterone. This happens for a simple reason: if the hormone enters the body from the outside, the need for its development disappears. As a result, the “pituitary-hypothalamus-ovary” arc becomes less and less active. And the longer the athlete takes steroids, the less testosterone is produced. It is important that the rate of decrease in the activity of the glands depends on the intake of prolactin, extradiol and progesterone into the body. If the level of one of these hormones exceeds a certain value, the activity of the endocrine glands will be depressed even more. Therefore, it is important to monitor the level of hormones, on time to take tests and always have at your disposal inhibitors of extradiol and prolactin.

The less active the “pituitary-hypothalamus-ovaries” arc became, the more forces will have to be spent in order to “awaken” it. Naturally, to return the level of testosterone to a normal value you need as quickly as possible: it depends not only on your appearance, but also on the effectiveness of training. In order for testosterone levels to return to normal as soon as possible, the use of anti-estrogens is recommended: clomiphene citrate, tamoxifen citrate and torimifene citrate. Unfortunately, recovery from tamoxifen is better: it is considered the most dirty and from its reception you can expect quite unpredictable side effects. The most effective drug that many athletes recommend is clomiphene citrate, otherwise called clomid. Of course, it is quite expensive, but the quality and the result justify the high cost.

How does clomid work?

Many athletes after the course of taking steroids are trying to restore the level of testosterone, using dietary supplements, herbal infusions and other questionable drugs. Do not do this: after the course of the body is in the hormonal hole, when the level of follicle-stimulating and luteinizing hormones is almost zero. Namely, these hormones depend on the intensity of testosterone secretion.

Clomid influences the production of FSH and LH. In addition, it combines with estrogen receptors. Therefore, even if a high level of estrogen is found in the athlete’s blood, one should not be afraid: the hormone will be inactive.

In the first days of taking clomid, the levels of LH and FSH quickly reach a maximum, while the level of testosterone is increasing. In just a couple of weeks, the testosterone level comes to a state that was observed before the course of steroids. However, the duration of taking the drug depends on the individual characteristics of the athlete’s body: someone is enough for two weeks, to whom it takes several months.

Reviews about the drug

On the Internet, there are practically no negative reviews about the drug. This does not seem surprising: Clomid does not have side effects, at least if it is taken in accordance with the instructions and recommendations of specialists.
